Hi, it’s Kavita!
Thank you for taking the time to explore my work and learn a bit more about me! I’m a communications professional who is known for bridging social media and pop culture gaps between my older millennial and younger gen-z friends (having been born in 1995, some might say I’m a “zillennial”). I’ve been working in school marketing and communications for over 5 years, and am energized by building relationships with teachers, parents, students, and alumni through sharing their stories via web design, photography, email marketing, graphic design, and social media.
In addition to working full time, I am a graduate student at the University of Florida, pursuing a Master of Arts in Mass Communication with concentrations in social media and web design. Life can get quite busy around December and May, when holiday or graduation events at work get intertwined with finals season!
Through the various projects I’ve championed in my profession and education, I have specifically enjoyed combining visual design and digital strategy to craft and share compelling content that inspires audiences through social media and web.
When I’m away from my desk and free from homework, you can find me soaking up the sun at the beach, indulging my sweet tooth at a local café, pampering my friends’ adorable pets, reading a good book, decorating my home, or spending time with family in India!
